PINRU: how can you say that!! hahaha busy with finals and lazy to update mah. well i didn't know there's still people reading it, if i know i'll blog more right? :D and my phone recently slow like a snail, i can't even blog when i'm bored. anyway i'm thinking of switching my blog to private, what do you think? SHAWN: hahaha it's just a spur of the moment post actually. thank you! :D ________________________________________________ okay lah i've haven't been blogging too cos been super lazy recently since finals ended. going to rant about finals now!!!!! ARGH. maybe cos this sem's exams are all crammed together into the first 3 days of exams (actually the first 2 weekdays of the 2 examination week). and due to ill preparation, practically didn't study for finals. 被psychology害惨了！ the psych tb was like a dictionary. next time i'll take photo let yall see, it was totally my 致命伤this finals. i was trying to finish all 13 chapters for finals, and i take a full 8-10 hours to finish ONE LOUSY CHAPTER. needless to say, i only covered about 4 chapters properly in the reading week before finals. the rest, don't talk about it! and since psych was my first exam, reading week i was only studying psych. and it was so sian cos i know if i had finished everything, i would have definitely aced it. cos psych 1101 module is such that it tests based on recall, and it's mcq. so just simple eat and vomit, and you basically don't have to think, just regurgitate. ARGH I MISSED MY CHANCE TO FINALLY ACE A MOD!!……. okay nevermind, over is over, just complain then get it over and done with >.< then because i was so busy cramming for psych, my other 3 mods 泡汤了！ oh and did i mention i was late for one of the exams? it's funny cos i woke up at 4am that day and i still ended up being late for the 9am exam. zzzzz.well you see, it takes about 1hr 15 minutes to reach school by train (and bus) if i don't get into any jams on the way and the trains arrive soon when i connect at raffles place. then on that fateful monday morning, the forever nua-ing me left home at 7.30 plus. yup on hindsight, i should have left earlier since we need to be early at the examinations venue. but nevermind, so anyway, at bishan station, i couldn't squeeze onto the south bound train and had to wait for the next one. then when i reached raffles place, the trains were packed too but i heck already, just squeezed in at the door, much to the annoyance of the people already packed at the door. i had a big backpack with me and everything, so i'm sure they weren't too pleased haha. hey people, i have an exam to go for okay! then after a packed and unpleasant mrt ride, i finally reached clementi interchange.. to see this:  can you see?? queue out of clementi interchange already okay! don't play play. and the people inside the interchange, they queue back and forth in zig zag lines (there are lines drawn on the floor) then after the queue ran out of the interchange, it went back in through the wheelchair ramp to the buzz stall. AHAHA. so funny when i think about it now, but when i reached there at 8.25, i was panicking like mad. although the bus ride to NUS is short, around 7-10 minutes, in the mornings there are typically jams that can take up to 30 minutes to reach school. plus, i am obviously not gonna get on the first bus right? eventually i got onto the fourth or fifth bus, a feat considering that there were more than 200 people in front of me. okay la actually i got on the bus only because all the people in front of me got on, and i was techinically the first person of the next bus, so i just die die thick skin hop on, and spent the ride standing on the steps. HAHAHA quite funny actually! okay many many complains about the transport i know! this is why circle line needs to open before the travelling and squeeziness becomes a big enough push factor to make me decide not to attend lessons. i mean.. in uni, there are already enough factors, like: - no attendance takng, no accountability - ineffective lecturers who don't care whether you turn up or not - lecture content that doesn't cover enough content to make you learn anything. 2 hrs of lecture + 3 hrs travelling (to and fro) better spent on 5 hours of readings at home and not to mention, webcasts, which means you can pon anytime you want. oh wellllll. i don't know why i still go for lecture sometimes. i only skipped one lect last year as far as i can remember (hey, there was webcast!) and this sem, i didn't skip ANY. not even the 6-8pm psych lecture where you learn only 5 pages worth of info from the 60 pages one chapter textbook. hahaha okay it's boring complaining about things that only affect me. back to finals! then my other 3 mods for finals die already. zzz social work was also one i could have scored, cos it wasn't that difficult. 60% was MCQ >.< SIAN, SIAN, SIAN! it's at times like this, when i know i have the potential to do well but didn't, that makes it all the more frustrating. rather than factors like a really tough module that i just couldn't understand by exams time. it's like missing up on an easy opportunity! bad planning this sem, got to plan better next sem! aiya so much complains about finals :( results at end of may. it's really disappointing having to make personal attributions for the way things turn out, rather than situational attributions! haha something i learnt from social psych. gna sleep, but next time, i'll post on end of freshman year, have been wanting to do that for last sem, a end of sem one kind of thing but never really got round to doing it. my friend posted this on fb--> PROCRASTINATORS: THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW so true. you and me both, buddy! |
