All we want in Christ, we shall find in Christ. If we want
little, we shall find little. If we want much, we shall find
much; but if, in utter helplessness, we cast our all on Christ,
He will be to us the whole treasury of God.
-- Henry Benjamin Whipple
sometimes, i wonder what we really want in life. does anybody, everybody knows what they want? when i walk past throngs of people milling past mindlessly in shopping malls, i'm wondering, is this actually what they want to be doing for the rest of their lives? When i'm squeezing in MRTs with crowds of people, we are going to the same place, but are we really sure of our final destination? Do we all have the same final destination in mind? When i'm walking, striding purposefully with the morning crowd on their way to work, i'm wonderful, do they actually know their purpose in life. do they even think about it? or is it a insipid thought, sitting at the back of their minds beyond all the here-and-now needs?
