haven't been feeling too well the past few days, suspecting it's something to do with the medicine. SO, i accidentally-on-purpose forgot to take my medicine the past few days.
THEN, i happened to be reading the latest issue of reader's digest, and i came across this article.
"It was too expensive"
Thirty-year old housewife Marian dela Rosa from the Philippines, was complaining of weight loss, palpitations and difficulty sleeping. She was diagnosed with Grave's disease - one of the most common causes of hyperthyroidism. Dr Wilson Egos, the attending doctor, prescribed her Prophylthiouracil. At first, she followed the prescription but two weeks later, she stopped taking her medicine due to financial constraints. She also did not go to the outpatient department for a follow-up.
More than a month later, Marian was admitted to the intensive care unit for thyroid storm - uncontrolled excess thyroid gland activity. Despite the best efforts to save her, she died after 2 weeks.
DIED! oh my :( thanks for scaring me. the timing was so great, i came across it just when i was contemplating skipping meds.
so maybe this is why i should take my medicine like the good little kid i am :x i don't want to die before my 19th birthday >.<
but i STILL don't feel well. feel quite crap this few days. hopefully can reschedule appointment, if not have to wait another 3 months, i'll be at the end of the super long list :(
rahh.
not happy :( seriously the pain and crappiness is making me a crabby person.
i don't like it.
& all along, its only what I thought.
