i went to watch avatar today! and yes, it's really selling out like how they say it is. meh and i checked 2 cinemas, about 6 showtimes before we found one that was not sold out, had 2 seats together and was at a decent not too late timing. okay, i really wanted to watch it in 3D but the only timing available was at 9.30 and the movie's 2hr 40 mins, and i have no intention of walking home from orchard anyway.
oh, if you haven't watched the movie, it's a great movie to watch! the scenery (3d animated background?) is so pretty :D loved the night scenes especially cos the plants and creatures are all lighted up. the world you're transported into just gives you the 'wow' feeling and it did make me stare in wonder. worth it! the storyline's pretty good too, unlike some movies which depend heavily on star presence or famous director -.-
fine, so the director of avatar is also the director of titantic. hahaha titanic is one of my favourite movies of all time. i think i have watched it four or five times? lost count already, and yes, that movie is quite old.
had popcorn! heh i love butterscotch but it's really v v sweet and not for people without a sweet tooth, cos i think they'll choke on the sweetness. oh, and honey mustard too! please, next time when you're watching movie, if you're in the orchard area, just buy popcorn from Cornery at the basement of ion. don't buy from the cinema snack counter, it's always so expensive!
did i mention that twilight: new moon was a disappointment? if not that i was watching with the class, i think i would have given it a miss. i'm the probably the few people i know who isn't a fan of the twilight series.
but seriously, movie adaptations of books just don't do justice to the authors. words are so beautifully crafted and when they are translated to the big screen, some of that beauty and imaginary is lost.
omitting a small minority, books are still the best! heh spoken like a nerd. C doesn't see call me a nerd everytime he sees me for nothing right.
oh and i liked the reindeers outside meritus mandarin.
i like orchard road at night when it's cool and there's barely any people around (by orchard road standards).
caught the last train home! stomach feels a lil funny now, and i think it's the popcorn. sheesh please don't puke popcorn, that's really disgusting.
i brought some stuff to give meh and i put in my bag temporarily but we both forgot about it, and i still have her ******* that we went ALL the way to cold storage to buy. we walked from ion to cine up the down four times -.-
seriously, we're two goondus. mwahahaha.
